In a star-studded event, the Ambani family played host to English football legend David Beckham at their opulent residence, Antilia, in Mumbai. Mukesh Ambani, along with his wife Nita Ambani, daughter Isha, and son Akash, joined by Shloka Mehta and Anant Ambani’s fiancée, Radhika Merchant, posed for a memorable picture with the esteemed guest.

As a token of appreciation, the Ambanis presented Beckham with a specially crafted Mumbai Indians jersey bearing the iconic ‘Beckham’ name. The football legend graciously held the ‘1 Beckham’ jersey in a candid snapshot with the Ambani family, capturing the essence of the occasion.

Earlier in the day, Beckham had the privilege of meeting Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, following their triumphant victory against New Zealand in the World Cup semi-final. A UNICEF goodwill ambassador, Beckham enjoyed the thrilling match alongside cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Adding a touch of glamour to the cricket experience, Akash Ambani and David Beckham watched the match together at Wankhede Stadium, accompanied by Bollywood stars Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, and Ranbir Kapoor. Rohit Sharma exchanged jerseys with Beckham, receiving an India jersey in return for a Real Madrid jersey, reminiscent of Beckham’s time with the Spanish football club from 2003 to 2007.

The festivities continued as Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja hosted a welcome party for David Beckham at their Mumbai residence. A slew of Bollywood celebrities, including Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, and Karishma Kapoor, shared delightful moments with the football legend.

Expressing his excitement about visiting India for the first time, Beckham revealed his longstanding association with UNICEF, emphasizing the organization’s focus on the well-being of boys and girls, with a particular emphasis on girls at present. The football icon expressed his joy at finally experiencing the vibrant culture of India, making his visit a truly memorable one.
