Deadline reported that despite receiving harsh criticism for letting Johnny Depp go from Fantastic Beasts 3 in 2020, DC and Warner Bros. are not considering replacing Amber Heard as Mera in the highly anticipated Aquaman sequel, which is set to be released next year.
Amber Heard was chosen avidly for Aquaman 2 and her replacement has not been considered. Fans criticised Warner Bros. for applying a “double standard,” accusing them of replacing Depp rather than Heard.
Many fans flocked to the microblogging platform to express their rage over the situation and to call for a boycott of Aquaman 2.
