BLACKPINK’s debut video for “BOOMBAYAH” becomes the first K-Pop MV ever to reach 1.4 billion views

BLACKPINK has made YouTube history once again with their highly – anticipated music video!

BLACKPINK’s music video for “BOOMBAYAH” surpassed 1.4 billion views on YouTube on April 23 at approximately 5:48 a.m. KST, creating it a first K-pop debut music video in history to do so.

Following “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love,” “BOOMBAYAH” is BLACKPINK’s third music video to reach 1.4 billion views. BLACKPINK is now the only female K-pop artist to already have three different music videos reach the milestone.

The music video for “BOOMBAYAH” was first released on August 8, 2016, at 8 p.m. KST, taking the music over 5 years, 8 months, and 14 days to reach the 1.4 billion mark.
