The psychological thriller, in which Akki will portray a police officer, is expected to gross between Rs 125 and 180 crore. According to reports on different news websites, the producers have a deal with the OTT juggernaut Disney+Hotstar, which previously distributed Akshay’s movies including “Laxmi” and “Atrangi Re.”Â
According to rumours, “Cuttputlli’s” digital rights were sold for over Rs 100 crore, and the movie also made money from the sale of its satellite and music rights. The movie will debut on September 2. Akshay expressed his delight for the debut of his new movie in a statement to the media, adding that he had been looking for a script similar to his 1992 smash hit “Khiladi” to return to the thriller genre.

I chose a streaming service like Disney + Hotstar to present “Cuttputlli” because I want it to be seen by a wide audience throughout the world, said Kumar in a statement. The latest movie from Akshay, “Raksha Bandhan,” has been having trouble at the box office. The movie, which had a long weekend off, only made about Rs 43 crore over the previous two weeks.
