While the whole Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser provided plenty of new, interesting insights about the film, one shot in particular has piqued the audience’s interest.
It depicts a hero flying through the air and smashing into debris, surrounded by light.
Although it’s difficult to tell who the hero is, many MCU fans feel the shot reveals the presence of Tony Stark, which is played by Tom Cruise rather than Robert Downey Jr.
The Benedict Cumberbatch-starrer Multiverse of Madness, as the title suggests, deals with the Multiverse and the repercussions of Doctor Strange’s fateful spell cast in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
So, even if it’s just for this film, another Tony Stark would make perfect sense. Two more Spider-Man characters (Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield) crossed over to the MCU in No Way Home.
It’s also worth noting that Cruise was approached to play Tony Stark before Robert Downey Jr. He turned down the offer because he didn’t think ‘it would work.’
The idea of an alternate universe Tony Stark fits in nicely with the theory that the Illuminati team of Marvel Comics heroes will appear in the film.
The presence of Sir Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier or Professor X,
who was not seen but whose voice was heard, adds weight to the theory.
on the other hande where, Ryan Reynolds has played Deadpool in two films so far.
Deadpool had always belonged to 20th Century Fox but is now projected to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the merger.
Fans have noted that one of the shards of glass appears to depict Deadpool, who appears to be shushing everyone with a finger on his mouth.
