Indian Wrestler Priya Malik has won a Gold Medal at the 2021 World Cadet Wrestling Championship, which is held in Budapest, Hungary. Malik defeated Belarus rival Kseniya Patapovich by 5-0 in the 73 kg weight category.
Malik had earlier won gold in the 2019 edition of Khelo India in Pune and then went on to win another gold in the same year at the 17th School Games that were held in Delhi. Priya also won two more gold medals in 2020.
This is another day of Indian women making county proud as just a day before Mirabai Chanu won silver in weightlifting at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.
