Lata Mangeshkar, the legendary singer, has passed away at the age of 92. The Bharat Ratna awardee tested positive for coronavirus with mild symptoms and was admitted on January 8 to the intensive care unit (ICU) at Breach Candy Hospital, where she was being treated by Dr Pratit Samdani and his team of doctors.

Her condition had improved in January, and she had been taken off the ventilator, but on Saturday, her health deteriorated. As soon as word of her tragic death spread, Bollywood stars took to social media to express their grief. Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal were among the first to comment on the news.
