Legendary Film Star Dilip Kumar laid to rest with full state honours; friends from industry pay their last tributes

India’s enduring film legend Dilip Kumar was buried with complete state honours. The legendary actor of Indian cinema was laid to rest at the Juhu Qabrastan at around 5 pm by his family members as the entire nation mourned the death of the legend whose death marks the end of an era in Indian cinema.

Dilip Sahab’s many industry colleagues including bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who was like a son to Dilip Sahab, visited Saira Banu to comfort her as she mourned the loss of her husband.

Dilip Kumar who passed away at the Hinduja Hospital Mumbai, on 7th of July 2021 left a legacy of unmatchable cinema career. His screen aura, his presence in the industry, and hundreds of movies which form the institution of acting will never be forgotten.

He was 98 when he breathed his last. A tweet from his official Twitter handle revealed the details about his burial. The legendary actor was surrounded by his family members including his wife, Saira Banu, as he succumbed to lungs infection.
