Mark Twain once said, “Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.”
A lot of people today begin to feel they are already too late to start something and achieve. While there are a lot of late bloomers like Joseph Conrad – English writer who spoke no English until he was 20, Dave McClure – angel investor (who runs the business accelerator 500 Startups) did not invest until 40, Grandma Moses – painter who never painted until she was 78, and there are countless others who did great even after starting late.
Mrs. Ranjana Karn who holds the degree of B.A, M.A is another example that it’s never too late to start following your passion. Mrs. Karn used to be a teacher in Airforce School Arjanfarh and has 10 years of experience in teaching.
The 57 year old says that although she took the job of teaching to become financially stable and support her family, her real passion was writing and singing songs.
She recalls that when she was a teenager she liked writing and singing bhajans, patriotic songs, poems as well as filmy songs.
Mrs. Ranjana Karn says that lockdown has finally given her a chance to do introspection and she has finally decided to pursue her passion as passion is the energy that keeps us going, that keeps us filled with meaning, and happiness, and excitement, and anticipation. Passion is a powerful force in accomplishing anything you set your mind to, and in experiencing work and life the fullest extent possible. And she has realised that ultimately, passion is the driving force behind success and happiness that allows us all to live better lives.
Mrs. Karn now wants to give all of her time to her hobby that is writing and singing her songs. She is also very passionate about art and craft and S.U.P.W(social useful productive work) she says that she has been doing many DIY projects recently most of which are ‘best out of waste’ crafts.
She has also written a song about corona, the lyrics of the song are,
“Arey China valo jara Sharm karlo, tumhari wajah se kitne mar rahe hai
tumhe or kya du mai dil ka paigam, ghar mai raho or salamat raho
Corona tu kya aaya es jagah mai sabka tune dil tadpaya, aankhon mai bas dehsat laya man me Tera dar samaya”
