Here is a big news for all the Pokemon fans out there as Netflix might be very soon releasing a live-action Pokemon series. Based on the popular trading cards and video games, the series is currently in early development at the streaming channel.
Reportedly Joe Henderson who currently serves as co-showrunner and executive producer on the popular Netflix series “Lucifer” will be writing as well as executive produce the series. Sources have added that the project would be a live-action series like the “Detective Pikachu” film starring Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith that was released in 2019 and grossed $433 million worldwide.
Netflix already is already the home to multiple existing Pokemon shows, including “Pokemon: Indigo League” and “Pokemon Journeys” among others.
The Pokemon franchise as a whole became a worldwide phenomenon since first launching in 1995. The franchise has multiple television shows, films, video games, the trading card game, books, manga comics, and much more.
