Virat Kohli had often spoke openly about his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, calling her as a “pillar of strength” as he talks about her impact on his personal and professional life.

As he celebrates his 100th Test on Friday, the Team India skipper used the same phrase for the Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi actress.

The remarks have been made before Anushka had accompanied her husband to the Mohali felicitation ceremony ahead of the first Test match against Sri Lanka.

Virat Kohli spoke to BCCI.TV in a special interview ahead of his 100th test.

The former Indian cricket captain told that Anushka had been a “huge influence” in his life and he added that influence it has dwindled on his game as well.

He shared that he was a “completely changed person for the right reasons” and that it happened to “grow in the right direction”.

Virat expressed his gratitude to God for blessing him with a life partner like Anushka, calling her as a “absolute pillar of strength.”

He admitted that the term was widely used, but that he only realised what it meant when he began ‘evolving’ after meeting Anushka.

The 32-year-old said that he won’t be able to progress with ‘so much composure and zeal’ if it weren’t for Anushka’s strong presence in his life.
