According to an NDTV report, businessman Bhavesh Bhandari and his wife have generously donated ₹200 crore of their fortune and are preparing to embrace monkhood.
Their altruistic act, carried out in February of this year, is set to culminate in an official ceremony on April 22. During this ceremony, the couple will sever all familial ties and embark on a journey of spiritual enlightenment. As part of their commitment to this path, they will forgo all material possessions, retaining only two white garments, a bowl for alms, and a ‘rajoharan’—a symbolic white broom utilized by Jain monks to sweep insects away, symbolizing their dedication to non-violence.
