BCCI announces the dates for remainder of VIVO IPL 2021; here is the entire schedule

Here is big news for all the cricket fans all over the world, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 which  was suspended midway earlier this year due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in the bio-secure bubble.

The rest of matches will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the stadia of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai, from September 19 to October 15. The first match will be held between MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings and Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians. This will be the 30th game of the schedule. A total number of 31 matches will be played in the duration of 27 days. Overall 13 matches will be held in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah and 8 in Abu Dhabi.

The 56th and the last game of the league stage will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals on October 8th.

The playoffs will be organised in Sharjah and Dubai. Sharjah will be hosting the Eliminator and Qualifier 2. Meanwhile Dubai will host Qualifier 1 and Final. The Qualifiers will kickstart on October 10th and the Final will be held on October 15.

As of now, Delhi Capitals is in the top position with 12 points, followed by Chennai Super Kings (10), Royal Challengers Bangalore (10) and Mumbai Indians (8).
