Punjabi artist Gippy Grewal recently spoke out following the shooting incident outside his Vancouver home, where gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility and mentioned Gippy’s supposed association with Salman Khan. In an exclusive interview with News18, Gippy emphasized that he shares no close friendship with Salman Khan, revealing that they’ve only met twice, once during the trailer launch of “Punjabi Maujaan Hi Maujaan” and earlier on the set of Bigg Boss.

Expressing shock over the attack, Gippy stated, “I have no enmity with anyone, so I couldn’t even think who could have been behind the attack.” He highlighted the incident, which occurred around 12:30 am to 1 am on a Sunday, as unprecedented for him, as he has never faced controversies before.

Addressing the threats made by Lawrence Bishnoi on Facebook, Gippy shared his bewilderment, stating, “For me, it is still shocking, and I am unable to process what has happened to me.” Bishnoi’s message warned Gippy about relying on Salman Khan for protection, asserting that “death doesn’t require a visa.”

This recent incident follows a prior security threat to Salman Khan in March 2023, prompting increased security around the actor’s residence after his personal assistant received a threatening email. Lawrence Bishnoi and his associates were named in the case, further intensifying concerns.

Bishnoi had previously accused Salman Khan of humiliating his community by allegedly killing a blackbuck during the shooting of “Hum Saath Saath Hain” in 1999. The unresolved 1998 blackbuck poaching case has resurfaced, with members of the Bishnoi community filing complaints against Salman Khan and other co-stars.

The situation remains tense, with Gippy Grewal seeking clarity and expressing concern for his family’s safety, while Salman Khan is yet to respond to the recent developments.
