Fukrey star Varun Sharma has created a spot for himself in Bollywood with his hoardwork and talented. The actor, who is currently seen in SonyLIV’s web series Chutzpah, opened up about his journey as he too had his own share of hardships before earning recognition and success.
Varun became a household name after playing the fan favorite character of Choocha in his 2013 film, Fukrey. However road wasn’t so smooth after that even though he got many good movies later, Varun went through hardships before he made his cut as an actor in films.
Talking about his hardships the actor said, “I wouldn’t like to use the word struggle, I would like to use the word learning. Even when I shifted to Bombay, I wasn’t struggling, I was learning. Because every rejection I had, every no that I heard made me stronger, more passionate more focused to convert that no into yes. But of course, there were hardships when I came to the city I didn’t know anyone, I was all by myself.”
“(But) My family was supporting me, whether it was emotionally, whether it was financially or whether in any capacity. They were by my side and they were supporting me. I think the biggest strength is to have your family around you. But that journey was there. I was a regular guy, who used to run around the studio to the studio asking about if I fit or don’t fit for a particular part you are looking for. And (I) used to come back half-heartedly disappointed because I couldn’t get selected somewhere or I got rejected somewhere. So all these days were there,” he shared.
On the work front, Varun has Cirkus with Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Sanjay Mishra and Jacqueline Fernandez in pipeline. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film is reportedly set to release on December 31, 2021.
