Veganism has recently become a part of Indian lifestyle. Gone are those days when it was just an international trend! This fitness enthusiast who was a vegetarian and an aspiring vegan until January 2020 has finally given up on all types of animal products. According to GQ India, his vegan diet plan consists of balanced meals with a variety of options such as Avocado on Toast, Plant-based Milk Smoothies, Moong Dal Chila, Edamame, Cashe and Roquette Salad, Vegan Pasta and Tofu Spinach Sauce, Vegan Lentil and Mushroom Patties.
Jacqueline’s love for animals is no secret; she was titled as “The women of the year” in 2014 by PETA for her efforts towards protecting animals. This Shrilankan beauty is ambassador of cruelty-free makeup body shop. Being an animal right activist she avoids all sort of meat and dairy products In one of the interviews, she said,” “Going vegan is the best thing you can do to help stop animal suffering, protect the environment and safeguard your own health.” She adds that she feels much better and healthier after switching to plant based diet.
Former Miss India’s love towards animals and environment urged her to give up on animal based diet and become vegan. She also helped PETA to launch V- card which is the first discount saving card for vegetarians in India.
One of the most talented actresses in India Kangna has been following vegan diet for many years now. She became a vegetarian in 2013 however she later realised that consuming dairy products was not agreeing with her and was giving her acidity so she switched to veganism. Mr. Perfectionist of bollywood Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao have been vegetarian for a long time. Aamir gave up on meat when his wife showed him a video about 15 diseases people can get because of meat consumption. Later the couple gave up on dairy products too and became vegan.
Richa has been following veganism since 2014. Talking about her decision to switch her eating habits she said, “I can’t stomach the thought of someone cutting a buffalo’s throat, ramming a knife through a pig’s heart or cramming chickens into cages so small they can’t even spread a wing, let alone bear to ingest such misery.”
