Ranbir Kapoor’s much-anticipated film, “Animal,” has roared into cinemas on December 1, eyeing an impressive Day 1 collection that may surpass the ₹100 crore mark globally. The gangster action drama, produced by T-Series, Cine1 Studios, and Bhadrakali Pictures, has generated significant buzz with robust advance bookings, outpacing Vicky Kaushal’s “Sam Bahadur.”

Commencing its advance bookings on November 26, the film is projected to achieve an opening day box office tally of ₹60 crore, as per industry insights from Sacnilk. Notably, major chains like PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis have witnessed the fifth-highest advance booking sales for Hindi movies, securing approximately 4.5 lakh tickets for the opening day.

On Day 1, “Animal” raked in ₹33.97 crore from 13 lakh ticket sales, contributing to a seven-day total of ₹57.61 crore gross with 23.5 lakh tickets sold. The film, granted an ‘A’ rating by the Central Board of Film Certification for audiences aged 18 and above, boasts a runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes, positioning it among the lengthiest Indian films.

Sumit Kadel, a renowned film trade analyst, anticipates an extraordinary performance for “Animal,” suggesting that if met with a positive response, it could achieve a staggering ₹170 crore+ nett over its first three days at the domestic box office. As audiences eagerly await the verdict, “Animal” promises to make a substantial impact in the cinematic landscape, challenging box office records and setting new benchmarks.
