Actor Rohit Saraf recently addressed speculations surrounding the upcoming film “Ishq Vishk Rebound,” asserting that it is neither a sequel nor a remake of the 2003 Shahid Kapoor-starrer “Ishq Vishk.”
While the original romantic-comedy marked Kapoor’s acting debut and garnered acclaim for its engaging storyline and memorable soundtrack, Saraf emphasized that “Ishq Vishk Rebound” stands as a distinct narrative within the franchise. Directed by Marathi filmmaker Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, the film promises to deliver a fresh love story tailored for the Gen Z audience.
Speaking at a promotional event for the film, Saraf clarified, “It is not a remake or sequel of ‘Ishq Vishk.’ The thing common between the two films is that they belong to the same franchise. But it’s a new story altogether, a love story about Gen Z.”
With Saraf taking on the lead role alongside Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grewal, “Ishq Vishk Rebound” is poised to captivate audiences with its modern take on romance and youthful energy. Scheduled for release on June 21, the film aims to carve its own path while honoring the legacy of its predecessor.
