The highly anticipated Bollywood film, ‘Tiger 3’, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, is set to make a big splash this Diwali. With the advance booking phase now underway, the film has already raked in a substantial Rs 10 crore in bookings across India, signaling a promising start for the action-packed venture directed by Maneesh Sharma.
The advance bookings for ‘Tiger 3’ began on a high note, with favorable responses pouring in from various corners of the country, particularly in mass-oriented cinema halls. These bookings are primarily for the auspicious occasion of Laxmi Pooja during the festive season, with the film officially releasing on November 12.
In major cinema chains such as PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, ‘Tiger 3’ has managed to secure over 92,000 tickets for the opening day. What’s even more noteworthy is the film’s growing momentum for the second day, with over 31,000 tickets sold as of Tuesday noon, resulting in a cumulative total of 123,000 tickets within these chains alone.
Interestingly, some regions in the Northern Belt are witnessing stronger bookings for the second day compared to the first, and this trend is expected to extend to markets like Gujarat and Rajasthan as well. For instance, PVR Elante has already sold 383 tickets for Monday, a significant increase from the 235 tickets sold for Sunday.
The non-national cinema chains are also contributing to ‘Tiger 3’s’ impressive advance bookings. MovieMax has sold around 1,900 tickets by Tuesday afternoon, Rajhans clocked in at 1,200 tickets, and Miraj tallied up an impressive 5,000 tickets.
Even on weekdays, ‘Tiger 3’ is showing resilience in its advance bookings. MovieMax, for instance, managed to sell 2,700 tickets for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday combined, while Miraj sold 2,000 tickets for Monday and Tuesday.
Single-screen cinemas, including Delite Diamond, Gaiety Galaxy, Liberty, Roopbani, and Mona, are reporting full houses for the first day and rapidly filling slots for the second. This phenomenon can be attributed to Salman Khan’s immense fan following among the masses, which is translating into strong early support for the film.
While it’s challenging to estimate the exact first-day box office figures, ‘Tiger 3’ is poised to make a significant impact upon its release on Pooja Day, and box office enthusiasts are keeping a close watch on the trends.
In terms of raw advance numbers, the film has accumulated a considerable Rs 7.00 crore for Sunday, Rs 2.25 crore for Monday, and an additional crore for Wednesday and Thursday. The pre-sales for Monday are expected to set a new record for Hindi feature films and are anticipated to gain momentum as the release date approaches. ‘Tiger 3’ appears all set to roar loudly at the box office during its three-day opening weekend.
