As Devdas completes 19 years of its release, Shreya Ghoshal took to social media to celebrate the milestone. The popular playback singer made her singing debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s iconic film.
Shreya took to twitter to thank filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for believing in her at that age.”19 years ago on this day I made my debut in Hindi Films in the iconic film #Devdas It’s still vivid in my memories the magical years of the making of the music. She received a National Film Award, a Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer and a Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent for her work in Devdas. Since then Shreya has recorded many songs for films and albums in various languages, and won prestigious awards for her work. Today she is one of India’s most popular playback singers.
