Bollywood heartthrob Vicky Kaushal recently shared insights into the whirlwind of events surrounding his wedding to Katrina Kaif and the simultaneous shoot for the film “Sam Bahadur.” The actor, who had been sporting his bearded look in the movie, disclosed in a recent interview that he took a brief hiatus from the shoot to tie the knot but found himself summoned back to the sets within two days of the wedding ceremony.

Revealing the behind-the-scenes drama, Vicky shared, “I have done half of the film’s shooting before my marriage, and then I took off for my marriage. Right after the marriage, within two days, they were calling me on the set. Toh fir mujh dhamki mil gayi thi ki tumhe do din baad set pe hi jana hai toh shaadi rehne hi do (Then I got the threat that if you have to go to the set in two days, then don’t get married). Then I said ‘no’ and I went to the sets of the film after five days.”

Despite the amusing ‘dhamki’ (threat), Vicky expressed the joy of marital bliss, describing marriage as “really beautiful” and emphasizing the blessing of finding a true companion. He reflected on the peace and fulfillment that marriage with Katrina brought to his life, expressing gratitude for the enriching experience of exploring life together.

“Sam Bahadur,” the film in focus, delves into the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, highlighting his remarkable sacrifices for the nation. The movie pays a heartfelt tribute to his unwavering bravery and sharp wit, portraying pivotal moments in his illustrious career spanning over four decades and five wars.

The star-studded cast of “Sam Bahadur” includes Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick (as Lord Mountbatten), Richard Bhakti Klein (as Ambassador Keating), Saqib Ayub (Captain Attiqur Rahman), and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela (as Subedar Gurbaksh Singh) in significant roles. The much-anticipated film is slated to hit theaters on December 1, promising an engaging cinematic experience.
