The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shed light on the absence of Yashasvi Jaiswal from India’s Playing XI in the first T20I against Afghanistan at IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. Despite being in decent T20I form, Jaiswal was notably missing, with skipper Rohit Sharma revealing at the toss that the young talent was unwell.
Providing an update on Jaiswal’s condition, the BCCI stated that he was sidelined due to a sore right groin. The announcement was made on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter.
“UPDATE: Mr Yashasvi Jaiswal was unavailable for selection for the first T20I due to a sore right groin,” the BCCI shared.
