The film’s advance bookings in the US and the UK, where the response for the Hindi dubbed version in Telugu has been described as ‘outstanding,’ are contributing to this optimistic outlook.
Notably, the Telugu version of “Animal” is experiencing a rare phenomenon of decent advance bookings, a rarity for Hindi films in the Telugu market. The director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, renowned for his work in the Telugu film industry, enjoys a massive following among Telugu audiences worldwide, adding to the film’s appeal.
Unlike many Bollywood films that are remakes, “Animal” stands out as an original creation, which is proving to be an added advantage. Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s last Hindi venture was the critically acclaimed “Kabir Singh” (2019), a remake of his own Telugu film “Arjun Reddy” (2017).
The success of “Animal” is also attributed to its director, who is known for creating impactful narratives. The film’s trailer, released a week before its official debut, has only heightened the anticipation. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga expressed his excitement on Twitter, stating, “Censor rating for Animal is A… 3 hours 21 minutes 23 seconds and 16 frames is the runtime. Animal… Releasing on December 1.” In a previous interview with PTI, Vanga praised Ranbir Kapoor’s transformation in the film, describing him as a unique actor with no limitations, comparing him to the likes of Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Kamal Haasan.
