Director Kabir Khan, known for his acclaimed film “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” recently shed light on the possibility of a sequel to the iconic Salman Khan-led movie. In an interview with Connect Cine on YouTube, Khan expressed the widespread desire among audiences to witness the return of the beloved character, Bajrangi.
Reflecting on the film’s enduring popularity, Khan acknowledged the iconic status of Bajrangi and the fervent requests from fans for a sequel. However, he emphasized that the essence of “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” encompasses not only the journey of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi but also the transformative narrative of Shahida ‘Munni’ Aziz, portrayed by Harshaali Malhotra. While acknowledging the completion of Munni’s story arc, Khan hinted at the potential for new avenues to explore within the narrative.
Regarding the sequel’s development, Khan revealed that while there are numerous intriguing ideas floating around, there isn’t a finalized script yet. He teased potential storylines, including “Adventures of Bajrangi and Chand Nawab,” hinting at the involvement of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character, Chand Nawab, who played a pivotal role in helping Munni reunite with her family in Pakistan.
Celebrating the sixth anniversary of “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” Khan reminisced about his journey back to the film’s shooting locations, particularly in Kashmir. Sharing heartfelt moments spent with the locals, Khan expressed gratitude for their warmth and hospitality, essential elements that contributed to the film’s success.
