In a tragic turn of events, two residents of Tila Mor in Ghaziabad were apprehended on Wednesday for the alleged murder of a 30-year-old man, Satendra. The motive behind the crime is said to be Satendra’s disapproval of one of the accused, Akshay Tomar’s, relationship with his niece, leading to escalating arguments between the parties involved. Notably, both the victim and the accused resided in the same locality.
The incident unfolded on November 18 when the police discovered Satendra’s lifeless body near Hindon Air Force Station. Subsequent investigations revealed that Akshay Tomar had devised a plan to eliminate Satendra, seeking assistance from their mutual friend, Sumit. The alleged motive stemmed from Satendra’s threats to Akshay regarding the disapproved relationship with his niece.
According to Shubham Patel, DCP (Trans-Hindon), Akshay had been in a relationship with the deceased’s niece for about a year. Satendra recently discovered this and confronted Akshay when he visited his house. A heated argument had taken place a few days prior to the murder, where Satendra publicly threatened dire consequences, causing Akshay to feel ashamed and seek a drastic solution.
Akshay confessed that on the evening of November 17, he, along with Sumit, planned a deceptive party with Satendra. Taking advantage of Satendra’s intoxicated state, they transported him near the boundary wall of Hindon Air Force Station on his own motorcycle. It was there that they executed the murder, breaking a liquor bottle, stabbing Satendra’s throat, and brutally assaulting him with a brick before fleeing the scene.
Law enforcement officials have successfully recovered crucial evidence, including the bike used in the crime, fragments of the broken bottle, and the brick employed during the fatal attack. The arrests underscore the tragic consequences of a disapproved relationship, leading to a disturbing act that has shaken the community in Tila Mor.
