Anil Kapoor has appeared in numerous award-winning films, including Slumdog Millionaire. He also appeared in Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol in 2011.

The actor on the other hand, once turned down a remunerative international project, despite his friends’ advice to take on the minor role to boost his ‘resume.’

Anil, who is currently promoting his upcoming movie JugJugg Jeeyo alongside Neetu Singh, Kiara Advani, and Varun Dhawan, recounted an incident in which he was offered a small part in “the world’s biggest franchise.”

In a recent interview, the actor explained why he declined the offer. Anil did not reveal the title of the film, but claimed that the director himself contacted him and asked him to play the part.

“I was offered the world’s largest franchise, which I won’t name, but it only had two days of work.  As a result, I read the story. Ek toh mere ko samajh mein nahi aya, kya tha? (I had no idea what was going on in the moment.) The franchise’s director then called me up and said, I want you to do it.  Every single one of my overseas friends said, ‘If you can have this film on your resume, that’s enough,” Anil told Film Companion.

The actor stated that he declined the offer for two reasons. At  first, he didn’t understand the movie’s scene. Two, he was concerned about whether or not he would be able to deliver his best portrayal in the two days allotted for recording his movie sequence.

“I told (to his friends) I wasn’t going to do it,” Ek toh mere ko scene hi samajh nahi aaya (I didn’t understand the scene told to me), and if I make a mistake that day, I’ll be exposed all over the world,” Anil explained.

In May, Anil had shot in Rajasthan with Hollywood star Jeremy Renner for his tv show Rennervations. Jeremy arrived in India in May and shared an Instagram photo of himself playing cricket with the natives in Rajasthan.

Anil and Jeremy had previously appeared together in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, however they did not share any scenes.
