World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and New Zealand has finally started on 19thJune after being washed away by rain last day.

New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first as they didn’t name any spinner in their line-up looking at the overcast conditions in Southampton.

Meanwhile, the Indian players were seen wearing black armbands when they walked out for the national anthem. The reason for the same is the demise of the legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh. He passed away late at night of 18th July due to post COVID-19 complications. The Indian team is paying respect to him for all that he achieved for his country over the years.

The cricketing fraternity also paid condolences to Milkha Singh’s family earlier on Saturday morning after they heard the unfortunate news.
