Mumbai: Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra recently revealed the intriguing journey behind landing her role in Netflix’s upcoming film, Amar Singh Chamkila. Chopra disclosed that she underwent an audition for the character Amarjot, expressing her enthusiasm for collaborating with renowned director Imtiaz Ali.
The film, set to stream on Netflix from April 12, marks Chopra’s long-awaited association with Ali, fulfilling a desire she harbored for over nine years. Notably, this collaboration also allowed Chopra to showcase her singing abilities, as Ali and the film’s composer, A R Rahman, insisted on testing her vocal skills before finalizing her role.
Chopra, known for her versatile performances in films like Meri Pyaari Bindu and Kesari, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and emphasized the significance of her role.
