As the Bollywood box office witnesses the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’ Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, the performance of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal continues to stand out, maintaining a robust presence even on its 22nd day since release. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film, which explores a complex father-son relationship alongside power-packed action, has collected ₹1.15 crore (for all languages) on its 22nd day, according to a Sacnilk report.

The total domestic box office collection for Animal has now reached an impressive ₹532.44 crore. Audiences have been drawn not only to the sizzling chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna but have also showered appreciation on Bobby Deol, who portrays the antagonist Abrar Haque, and Triptii Dimri, essaying the role of Zoya.

Despite the film’s significant success at the box office, a section of the audience expressed dissatisfaction with a particular sequence, questioning the mindset of Ranbir Kapoor’s character, involved in an extramarital affair with Zoya. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga addressed these concerns in a recent interview with Galatta Plus.
The director clarified that the character’s request for Geetanjali not to remarry if he does not return is a personal sentiment, emphasizing that it has nothing to do with a generalized feeling but is specific to the film’s narrative and character dynamics. As Animal continues its successful run at the box office, the film’s nuanced storytelling and compelling performances continue to keep audiences engaged and intrigued.
