In a swift reaction to a mobile snatching incident at Jafrabad Metro Station, Delhi, law enforcement successfully apprehended two suspects, resolving the case that gained widespread attention following a video circulating on social media. Joy Tirkey, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast), disclosed that the Shastri Park Metro Police Station registered a case on November 28, initiating a comprehensive investigation that culminated in the arrest of the two accused.

The detained individuals, Tehsin, 30, and Shehnoor, 22, played roles in the mobile snatching incident within the metro station. Tehsin, notably a repeat offender with a criminal history comprising 17 cases, spanning robbery, snatching, and illegal arms possession, was identified as the perpetrator responsible for the theft of the woman’s mobile phone. Shehnoor, acting as an accomplice, awaited Tehsin outside the metro station during the incident.

The case promptly transitioned to the special staff, underscoring the authorities’ commitment to swiftly address such criminal activities. Deputy Commissioner Joy Tirkey emphasized that Tehsin’s extensive criminal record extended beyond snatching, showcasing the gravity of the arrest.

In the course of interrogation, Tehsin admitted to selling the snatched mobile phone to an individual named Krishh. This revelation suggests potential avenues for further investigation, aiming to trace the device and involve any additional individuals linked to the incident.
