Shah Rukh Khan’s latest cinematic venture, Dunki, is gearing up to join the elite club of films surpassing the impressive Rs 300 crore mark globally, with the actor’s cumulative box office earnings for 2023 reaching a staggering Rs 2500 crore.
Despite facing tough competition from the Prabhas-starrer Salaar, Dunki has showcased resilience at the box office, maintaining a commendable pace in its seventh day. The film, which initially capitalized on the Christmas holiday period, has experienced a gradual decline in its revenue stream, marking Wednesday as its lowest single-day collection.
Early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk indicate that Dunki is anticipated to garner Rs 9.75 crore on Wednesday, contributing to its overall domestic collection that is poised to cross the Rs 150 crore milestone, settling at Rs 151.26 crore.
With a 19.89 percent Hindi occupancy on Wednesday, Dunki’s steady performance comes amid a competitive cinematic landscape. Red Chillies Entertainment, on X (formerly Twitter), previously reported that Dunki had amassed an impressive Rs 283.13 crore in worldwide gross box office earnings after six days.
