The highly anticipated film ‘Leo,’ starring Vijay and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was released on the auspicious occasion of Ayudha Pooja, and it has created a storm at the box office. The action-packed drama has now crossed a remarkable milestone, earning an impressive ₹570 crore worldwide. Here’s the latest update on the film’s box office performance as it concluded its 16th day in theaters.

‘Leo’ started on a high note, garnering positive responses from the audience since its release on October 19. Despite later receiving mixed reviews, the film has continued to maintain a strong presence in the box office race.

Notably, ‘Leo’ has shown remarkable performance from day one, especially in Kerala, where it has become the highest-grossing Tamil film, amassing ₹58 crore. In achieving this feat, ‘Leo’ has surpassed Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer,’ which held the previous record with ₹57.7 crore. ‘Leo’ has also broken box office records in various other locations, further solidifying its position.

The film now stands at a worldwide collection of approximately ₹570 crore, with ₹325 crore coming from the domestic box office. With no major releases in sight for the weekend, ‘Leo’ is expected to hit its peak, and analysts predict that it could surpass the ₹200 crore mark in Tamil Nadu.

‘Leo’ is a significant collaboration between director Lokesh Kanagaraj and actor Vijay, following their successful partnership in ‘Master’ in 2021. The film features Vijay in a character with dual shades and is confirmed to be a part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Cinematic Universe. The star-studded cast also includes Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Sandy, Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Priya Anand in pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music, while Manoj Paramahamsa is responsible for the stunning visuals. ‘Leo’ has undoubtedly emerged as a cinematic powerhouse, setting new records in the world of Tamil cinema.
