Despite a notable decrease in stubble burning in neighboring states, Delhi’s air quality witnessed no improvement in November, raising concerns about the capital’s persistent pollution crisis. Analysis reveals that stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana reduced by 26.5% and 37%, respectively, between September 15 and November 30. Surprisingly, Delhi’s dangerous PM2.5 levels this November were 33% worse than the same period last year, emphasizing the influence of weather patterns on the enduring air pollution challenge in the national capital region.
