Symbiosis International (Deemed University) commemorated 52 years of educational dedication and collaboration during its annual gathering in Delhi, where future plans, including initiatives for 2024, were deliberated. The university, recognized for its excellence in higher education, was recently bestowed with the Higher Education Excellence Award for employability creation by FICCI.
Founder and President of Symbiosis, as well as Chancellor of SIU, Prof (Dr) S B Mujumdar, emphasized the importance of strong partnerships in propelling India towards global prominence. Drawing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s vision, he expressed confidence in India’s potential as a global powerhouse, highlighting the role of collaborative efforts.
SIU has actively contributed to fostering access and inclusion in education, offering scholarships to both Indian and international students, particularly focusing on Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. The university takes pride in its commitment to providing educational opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds.
In line with the evolving educational landscape, SCMS NOIDA, an institute under SIU, unveiled a forward-thinking four-year BBA Honours/ Honours in Research program, aligning with the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020. The university’s proactive approach extends beyond national borders, with dual degree programs established in collaboration with international universities, and partnerships with organizations like OBREAL Global.
Noteworthy is SIU’s outreach to female students from Afghanistan, exemplified by the Symbiosis School for Online and Digital Education, which has provided educational opportunities to over 800 female students within the safety and convenience of their homes. This commitment to inclusivity and global collaboration stands as a testament to Symbiosis International University’s multifaceted contributions to the field of education over the past 52 years.
