Arrests Made in Ghaziabad’s Tronica City Gang-Rape Case; Five Suspects Apprehended

In a disturbing incident in Ghaziabad’s Tronica City, three men allegedly gang-raped a 23-year-old woman near the jungles of Khanpur on the evening of November 30. The police acted swiftly, arresting five individuals on Sunday in connection with the case. Shockingly, the gang reportedly attempted to assault the woman’s friend as well but fled the scene upon noticing a private vehicle approaching.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Mohammad Junaid (20), Imran Ahmad (23), Chand Mohammad alias Tauseef (19), Golu Bansal (21), and Mohammad Sultan alias Kale. All of them are residents of Khanpur village in Tronica City. Junaid and Imran were apprehended separately on Sunday, with both sustaining gunshot wounds to their legs during police encounters.

According to the police, the victim and her 22-year-old female friend, who are neighbors in Delhi’s Soniya Vihar and colleagues at a Tronica City factory, left their workplace around 6:30 pm on November 30 after completing their shift. The 22-year-old, having recently purchased a new scooter, reached out to her male friend from Badarpur to teach her how to ride the vehicle.

The horrific incident unfolded in the jungles near Tronica City, raising concerns about the safety of women in the area. The swift response from law enforcement led to the arrest of the five suspects, who are now facing charges related to the alleged gang rape.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are committed to ensuring justice for the victims while addressing the broader issue of safety and security in the region.
