Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a swipe at the “anti-BJP forces” in the aftermath of Congress’s electoral setback in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh. The BJP’s resounding victory prompted PM Modi to comment on the opposition’s response, stating, “May they be happy with their arrogance, lies, pessimism, and ignorance.”

In a social media post, the Prime Minister cautioned against what he termed their “divisive agenda,” emphasizing that shedding a habit ingrained over 70 years wouldn’t be an easy task. Modi added a warning, noting that the wisdom of the people indicated there might be “many more meltdowns ahead.”

The remark came in response to a news clip discussing the apparent dismay of unnamed “anti-BJP forces” following Congress’s defeat in the three Hindi heartland states. While Telangana provided a consolation victory for Congress, the loss in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh marked a significant blow.

On Monday, Modi urged the opposition not to channel their frustration within Parliament, emphasizing the need to move forward and leave behind negativity. He suggested that learning from the defeat and approaching the upcoming session with positivity could alter the public’s perception of the opposition.

Addressing members of Parliament, the Prime Minister encouraged thorough discussions on bills, presenting an opportunity for the opposition to transform their narrative. Modi emphasized that by embracing a positive approach, the opposition could open a new chapter and change the country’s perspective towards them.
