A tragic incident unfolded in Delhi’s Jaitpur area yesterday when a 24-year-old woman, identified as Pooja Yadav, was fatally shot at her home. According to the police, two masked gunmen, one of whom was her lover’s brother named Rocky, forcibly entered her residence around 9 pm on Friday. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Pooja succumbed to her injuries upon arrival.
Local residents, alerted by the gunshots, quickly responded and pursued the assailants. They managed to capture the motorcycle the attackers were fleeing on, prompting the gunmen to escape on foot. Police have arrested Rocky, who disapproved of Pooja’s relationship with his brother Krishan, a married man with four children. Krishan was involved in an affair with Pooja, who used to work with him. Rocky’s objection to the relationship led to Pooja losing her job. This incident follows another tragic event earlier in the week, where a 30-year-old woman’s body was found near a metro station in Delhi, her face disfigured by the killers using a stone.
