In a shocking incident, Ghaziabad police have detained two 14-year-old minors for the calculated murder of a 30-year-old security guard, Aarzoo Seikh, whose lifeless body was discovered with a slit throat in an Indirapuram park on Tuesday morning.
The gruesome act transpired late Monday night, and the police revealed that one of the detained suspects is the nephew of the victim, while the other is a friend of the nephew. Seikh, originally from West Bengal, had recently arrived in Indirapuram in search of employment, securing a job as a security guard at a high-rise tower.
Investigations uncovered that Seikh, known for his habitual drinking, had lost his job due to his alcohol-induced misbehavior towards his sisters. A day prior to his tragic demise, he was dismissed from his position.
The motive behind the murder stems from the nephew’s anger towards Seikh, who had reportedly assaulted the nephew’s mother and demanded money for alcohol. In a chilling turn of events, the nephew and his friend meticulously planned the murder. The young duo managed to accumulate about ₹500 in the days leading up to the crime, using the funds to purchase a knife from the Red Fort area in Delhi.
On the ill-fated evening, around 8.30pm, the duo bought three bottles of liquor and snacks from a Khoda shop, inviting Seikh for a purported party at the park. Around 9.30pm, with Seikh in a highly inebriated state, the minors, also under the influence of alcohol, carried out their plan, brutally attacking the man with the knife and fatally slitting his throat.
This tragic incident underscores the disturbing consequences of unchecked juvenile delinquency and raises questions about the factors contributing to such heinous acts among young individuals. As legal proceedings unfold, the community grapples with the aftermath of this senseless and premeditated crime.
