Like every year, a group of Bengali community namely “Alaapi” based at Bangaluru has organised Kaali Puja on the auspicious occasion of the festival of lights – Deepavali. For last several years, Alaapi is deeply involved in social work and cultural activities. The people from all walks of life took part in successful organisation of the puja of goddess Ma Kaali. The members of the group who actively contributed in organising the event were Anujit,Abhineet,Indrajit,Sanjita,Ranjita Bidhan,Shalini,Somenath,Shanto,Arpan, Sumant,Sudip,Sumeet and Sukanya. The support of Veteran Bollywood actor Deepak Parashar and musician Suman Chatterjee is also appreciated. Such cultural activities organised by Aalapi group from time to time enhance harmony in the society.
