The highly awaited pan-Indian blockbuster, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles, is all set to grace theaters on December 22, 2023.
In an exclusive interview with RRR’s renowned director, Rajamouli, Prashanth Neel, the creative force behind Salaar, opened up about the deliberate choice of an A certificate for the film. Neel explained that the censor board had suggested edits in several scenes. While some alterations were acceptable, eliminating the remaining shots would have significantly compromised the essence of the film, as per the director. Expressing disappointment, he emphasized that Salaar does not delve into vulgarity but rather portrays essential violence. When Neel discussed this with Prabhas, the leading actor advised opting for an A certificate.
Salaar boasts an ensemble cast, including Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tinnu Anand, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, and Bobby Simha in pivotal roles. The film, produced by Hombale Films, is a high-budget, pan-Indian venture, featuring a compelling musical score by Ravi Basrur.
