After a very successful career as an actress and becoming an author of a book, Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to don a producer’s hat. Bebo will be adding another feather to her glowing hat by producing with Hansal Mehta’s upcoming yet-untitled thriller film.
The project will be co-produced by Ekta Kapoor who also co-produced Kareena starrer Veere Di Wedding with Rhea Kapoor, and Nikhil Dwivedi. The Hansal Mehta’s next gritty thriller is reportedly inspired by a real-life incident and is set in the UK.
Confirming the news of her turning a producer Bebo admitted being a huge fan of Hansal Mehta’s movies. “I’m honoured to work as a producer on this film with Ekta. I’m a huge fan of Hansal’s movies and to work with him for the first time will be special. This film marks a lot firsts,” she said.
Mehta, on the other hand, mentioned that their aim is to create a gripping and moody thriller with Kareena playing a character which he hopes she will do justice with her talent as an actor. “I look forward to venturing on this journey with Ekta & Kareena, both of whom have accomplished so much in their respective careers and are absolute powerhouses,” he was quoted saying.
Meanwhile Kareena is currently awaiting the release of her film Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Aamir Khan. Helmed by Advait Chandan, the comedy-drama is slated to release on Christmas 2021.
