Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda recently revealed the motivations behind his decision to tie the knot with Lin Laishram in a traditional Meitei wedding ceremony held in Imphal, Manipur. The couple, surrounded by close family and friends, embraced Manipuri customs, with Randeep donning the attire of a perfect Manipuri groom, while Lin chose a Potloi, a cylindrical skirt made of thick cloth and bamboo, as her wedding outfit.
In an interview with ANI, Randeep shared that the choice to marry as per Manipuri rituals was rooted in respect for his life partner’s culture. The ‘Sarbjit’ actor expressed his appreciation for Manipuri traditions, stating, “We have been talking about Manipuri culture for a long time. It feels very good.”
The actor, looking forward to a happy future, abundant with children, emphasized the cultural exchange in their union, describing it as an amalgamation of “east meets west.” Randeep and Lin had earlier announced their union on Instagram, sharing a series of beautiful wedding photos accompanied by a heartfelt caption that read, ‘From today, we are One #JustMarried,’ adorned with heart and infinity emojis. The couple’s decision to blend traditions showcases a celebration of diversity and cultural respect in their marital journey.
