Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the positive strides made in the ongoing rescue efforts at the Uttarkashi tunnel, now in its 11th day. Communicating through X, formerly Twitter, Dhami shared advancements achieved in the past 24 hours. The rescue focus is not only on reaching the 41 trapped workers since the tunnel collapse on October 12 but also on sustaining them with nourishing, warm meals.
Recent efforts include the provision of pulao and matar paneer. A significant breakthrough occurred as a location for vertical drilling was identified on Wednesday morning. The Border Roads Organisation played a pivotal role by constructing roads near the tunnel site to facilitate the movement of machinery that faced challenges the previous day.
