In response to prevailing circumstances, Mumbai has enacted prohibitory orders under Section 144, extending until January 18, according to an announcement by the Mumbai Police on Wednesday.
The imposed restrictions encompass a ban on the operation of drones, remote-controlled microlight aircraft, paragliders, para motors, hand gliders, and hot air balloons within the city limits for a duration of 30 days.
It’s notable that flying these objects will only be permissible for aerial surveillance conducted by the police or under specific written permission from the deputy commissioner of police (operations).
This move aligns with the city’s efforts to manage and regulate activities that could pose security or safety concerns. The restrictions aim to ensure the well-being and security of the public during this specified period, with stringent measures in place to govern the operation of aerial devices over Mumbai.
