Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu, who was out on bail for the Republic Day violence case in January last year, died in a car accident.
The accident occurred on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway, which runs around the outskirts of Delhi.

In February last year, Sidhu was arrested by the Delhi Police in connection with a farmers’ tractor rally on Republic Day that turned violent after protesters marched to the Red Fort and attacked police officers.
Farmers were rebelling against the three new farm laws that were repealed by the federal government in November 2021.
He was released on bail in April, but was arrested again shortly after.
He was released on bail for the second time in late April, with a court in Delhi stating that he must appear for questioning whenever the police call him.
Deep Sidhu was accused of being the key conspirator of the violence at Red Fort.
