Following a resounding victory in Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu declared the party’s unwavering allegiance to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) as he embarked on a crucial journey to New Delhi. Naidu’s announcement came on Wednesday, just a day after the TDP-led alliance secured an overwhelming majority in the state’s Assembly elections.

Expressing his steadfast support for the NDA, Naidu affirmed, “I am with NDA only,” during his interaction with the media, marking his first public appearance since the electoral triumph. The TDP-led coalition secured a staggering 164 out of 175 seats in the Assembly, along with clinching 16 out of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh.

With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) looking to its allies for government formation, Naidu, alongside Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief K Pawan Kalyan, is set to participate in the NDA meeting scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in the nation’s capital. Additionally, Naidu revealed plans to extend invitations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other BJP leaders for his forthcoming swearing-in ceremony at Amaravati on June 9.

Expressing gratitude to the JSP and BJP for their support in preventing the division of anti-incumbency votes, Naidu attributed the historic victory to the collaborative efforts of the TDP-led NDA. Recognizing the electorate’s role in delivering what he termed as “a historic mandate,” Naidu underscored the challenges faced under the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) regime, emphasizing the significance of the people’s trust in the TDP-led alliance.

As Naidu embarks on this pivotal journey to Delhi, the political landscape awaits the outcomes of the forthcoming NDA meeting, poised to shape the trajectory of governance and alliances in the region.
