Noida Police Personnel Attacked and Pistol Stolen in Ghaziabad Clash

In a disturbing incident, Noida Police personnel faced an alleged assault by villagers in Ghaziabad, resulting in injuries and the theft of a service weapon. The confrontation unfolded in Masauta village on Sunday, where two officers from the Noida Sector 63 police station had arrived for an investigation.

The altercation erupted at a narrow culvert near the village when an argument ensued between the police team, traveling in a private car, and locals regarding the passage of the vehicle. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Masoori, Ghaziabad) Naresh Kumar reported, “The locals attacked the police team, leading to injuries to two personnel. Furthermore, a service pistol belonging to one of the officers disappeared from the scene.”

Authorities have identified four individuals involved in the attack, who were in another car. Efforts are underway to determine the identities of others involved, with raids being conducted to apprehend the accused. An official FIR will be filed under the relevant legal provisions.

This incident underscores the challenges law enforcement faces in the line of duty and emphasizes the need for ensuring the safety and security of officers during investigations.
